Nayla Hayek was elected chairwoman of the Swatch Group, the largest manufacturer of finished watches in the world, in July 2010.
Hayek, whose father co-founded the company, has been an active member of the board ever since her appointment in 1995. For many years she acted as an advisor to the firm before joining the Swatch Group in 2007.
In 2008, Hayek became the CEO of the Swatch Group’s subsidiary, Tiffany Watch, a role in which she oversees the operational leadership of the firm. She is also responsible for the local organisation of the Swatch Group Middle East, Swatch Group India and the brand Balmain.
In addition to her work with the Swatch Group, Hayek has a successful career as an international Arabian horse judge and raises Arabian horses.
