Dubai will host the Material Handling and Logistics Middle East exhibition and conference in May 2007, organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East.
The biannual event, which is being held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, is expected to attract logistics experts from across the region, in addition to Europe, the Far East and Australia.
"The exhibition, which coincides with the rapid growth in the region's warehousing and transportation industries, will act as a platform for investors, industry experts and developers, allowing them to network with potential buyers from across the Middle East," said Amanda Westerman, group exhibitions manager at Messe Frankfurt Middle East.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the Dubai Department of Civil Aviation and chairman of Emirates Airline, the number of exhibitors is expected to double this year, compared to the 2005 show.
This year's event will include a dedicated area for live demonstrations of forklift trucks from Toyota, Daewoo, Linde and BT. Other exhibitors will be displaying some of the latest products and developments aimed at the logistics industry, including commercial vehicles, supply chain technology and warehouse equipment.
Material Handling and Logistics Middle East is being organised in association with Dubai Logistics City. The organisers have also partnered with the region's leading publisher ITP for the Supply Chain and Transport Awards (SCATA) 2007, which is taking place at the Fairmont Hotel in Dubai on Tuesday 29th May 2007.
