Juniper has appointed Hans-Peter Bauer as vice president of enterprise sales for the EMEA region.
Bauer will report to the networking firm's vice president of operations for EMEA Gert-Jan Schenk, who previously held Bauer's position.
"Bauer brings a very sharp focus to Juniper's enterprise sales activity in EMEA, as we continue to build significant customer base and brand awareness in security, routing and application acceleration markets throughout the region," Schenk commented.
He said Juniper's regional operation grew 33% in 2006 and this growth underlined the potential the Middle East held for the vendor. "I am confident this potential will be thoroughly optimised by Hans-Peter and his team," he added.
Bauer most recently served as managing director of Adobe's northern European operation. In addition to Adobe, Bauer has worked at Symantec, IBM, the Digital Equipment Corporation and the Computer Sciences Corporation.
