Hilton to double presence in five years

Hilton International CEO Ian Carter has told Arabian Business that the hospitality empire, that currently has 34 hotels in the Middle East, will double its presence in the Gulf region in the next five years.

Meanwhile, the company launched its first Conrad project in the UAE capital earlier this week with the signing of its new property, the Conrad Abu Dhabi. Due for completion in 2009, the hotel will comprise of 380 rooms, 80 serviced apartments and a private lagoon.
