Oman to see waste management entities

by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Sunday, 01 April 2007

An announcement is expected shortly to launch the foundation of a government-owned holding company that will manage all of Oman's waste management functions. The Oman Environmental Protection Services Company SAOC, originally planned as a closed joint stock company, will be set up by mid-2007. Plans are also underway to establish a number of subsidiary entities, each handling certain waste management operations in the various regions of Muscat and Dhofar.
