Saudi Readymix goes on campus to recruit local talent

by Conrad Egbert on Tuesday, 10 April 2007
Saudi Ready mix is looking to Saudi colleges to attract local talent.

Saudi Arabia-based ready mixed concrete supplier, Saudi Readymix, is conducting on-campus recruitments in a dual move to provide employment opportunities to Saudi nationals and source graduating students to ensure a steady workforce to compliment its growth plans for the future.

Rami Khalid Alturki, president of Saudi Readymix, said: "To keep pace with the booming construction industry, we are implementing an aggressive growth plan in all areas of our operation. To support this internally, we have implemented this graduate recruitment programme to supply us with a steady stream of talented and ambitious young Saudis, who will help us realise our goals. By the end of this year for example, we aim to grow our current workforce from 1700 employees to almost 2100. Those graduates who choose to work with Saudi Readymix will enjoy an excellent working environment with an opportunity for hands-on learning from some of the most respected industry experts in the kingdom."

The company has plans to extend its operations across the entire kingdom, especially in the northern and southern provinces, by opening new plants and expanding and modernising its current fleet.

Saudi Readymix's HR & administration director, Salem Al-Hajri, said: "We have a very progressive philosophy regarding the training and education of our employees which is aimed at raising the standards of our company and the industry as a whole. We strive to provide a bright future for them with us and a clear career path for all our people that goes hand in hand with competitive remuneration packages, employee benefits, and transparency in policies and procedures."

Saudi Readymix was established in 1978 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Khalid Ali Alturki & Sons group of companies. The company currently operates the largest fleet of ready-mixed concrete equipment in the country with nearly 350 truck mixers and 100 mobile pumps, in addition to mobile concrete pumps and a large number of auxilliary concreting equipment.
