Visa, Dnata join Hilton promotion

by Chris Jackson on Wednesday, 11 April 2007

Hilton Hotels will be joining with Visa International and Dnata Holidays to launch their summer promotion at this year's Arabian Travel Market.

Hilton Gulf director of international sales Avsar Koc said the ‘Hilton for Free' promotion - where Middle East travellers can choose from 131 hotels in 45 countries and get extra nights for free - would be launched at the market for the tenth consecutive year.

Joining with Visa and Dnata offered the hotel company an extended audience for their campaign, he said.

"The reason that we have several international partners is to show the synergy between a travel company, a credit card company and a hotel company, because these are the three components in any travel that you do," Koc explained.

"With this program, apart from our own distribution channels, we need partners to make this offer available to a wider audience. Dnata will be distributing this offer not just to their retailers, but also to their travel partners in the region. And Visa is going to issue it directly to their credit card customers in the region."

Koc said that this year, for the first time, Visa would also extend the offer to their credit card holders based in Asia.

"It goes without saying that that is a very large distribution," Koc said.

Hilton would also use the Arabian Travel Market to increase awareness about the company's new ‘Hilton Family of Brands', and to announce its new operational strategy and development pipeline in the region, Koc added.
