Eye of Dubai won the Golden Award for the Best Website in Travel and Tourism at the prestigious Pan Arab Web Awards ceremony at Dubai's famous Burj Al Arab hotel on Thursday April 19, 2007. The leading web designers and innovators in the region were gathered at the event to be recognized for the quality of their web projects. Eye of Dubai was proud to take home three awards on Thursday night including the highest award in the Travel & Tourism category.

CEO Abdullah Al Harbi who accepted the awards for Eye of Dubai said "Eye of Dubai has worked hard to be a leader in providing innovative and valuable content through our extensive website. Our site is accessed by thousands of residents and tourists every month seeking up-to-date and comprehensive information about Dubai. It is a great honor to be recognized with this award."

Eye of Dubai also received the Best Strategic Travel & Tourism Website award for its website that includes numerous interactive services, valuable information and directories, and the latest money, business, social and lifestyle news that boasts of 300,000 visits per month.

Eye of Dubai took home its third award, the International Standards Web Technology Award, reflecting its highly professional international standards, which have been recognized by local and international organizations.

Mr. Alharbi added, "These awards reflect the importance of web portals in promoting businesses in the region. As more companies are using websites as a platform to launch, advertise and conduct their business, we must maintain high standards and encourage development of online services. We are proud to be recognized as leaders in the online community. We thank the Pan Arab Web Awards for this great honor."

I am amazed that the journalist wrote such a clear and simple article on an apparently excellent website but neglected to publish the URL.
