by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Sunday, 01 April 2007

Emirates-based solutions provider Universal Concepts has netted a contract to distribute USRobotics products to duty free and airline customers.

The company will supply a wide range of USR kit to airlines and regional airports, including routers, wireless networking equipment, mini cams and Ethernet switches.

Abhishek Bose, general manager at Universal Concepts, says the firm - which also produces its own brand of consumer electronics will endeavour to establish "creative marketing programmes" with airports and airlines in the region to enhance the USR brand.

"Our relationship with Universal Concepts will extend USRobotics' market by adding a valuable sales channel for our consumer IT products," claimed Sumit Kumar, regional manager MENA at USRobotics.

"Travellers now have the benefit of purchasing USR products - duty-free - in airports and on select regional flights, enabling our customers to stay connected at home, in the office or while out of town," he added.
