MBC bags Promax BDA awards

With a total of nine gold and ten silver, MBC Group won the most number of awards at the 2007 PromaxBDA Arabia Awards. This year's awards included 28 categories ranging from Best Television Promo to Best Animation. The awards aim to showcase local talent, and improve the understanding of the link between branding and business performance in the Arab TV landscape.

"Branding is the major factor in differentiating channels in the cluttered and competitive market environment of regional TV," stated Fadel Zahreddine, MBC Group Director of Creative Services. "Advertisers need to move beyond measuring eyeballs only and see the impact of brand association and perception. This will encourage the industry to get branding and packaging right. We hope more people will participate next year," he added.
