Genius move by SMC Networks

Genius Computer Technology (GCT) has picked up the regional distribution rights for SMC Networks' products in a move that strengthens its portfolio of SOHO solutions.

The agreement, which was recently inked at GCT's Jebel Ali office by members of both companies' management teams will see GCT handle the retail and corporate sector of SMC's business in the Middle East.

GCT - well-known for its own-brand Genius line of accessories, peripherals and multimedia - also intends to oversee marketing, logistics and RMA for US-based SMC.

"With our vast experience in the retail and corporate channel business coupled with excellent support functions like marketing, logistics and RMA it will provide us with extra edge to compete in the market," claimed Jihad Youssef, general manager at GCT.

He added: "Our retail channel offers flawless support for the existing product line-up and with reputed products from SMC Networks can increase the scope of business to achieve more financial benefits."
