Westin heads to Jordan

Jordan will soon have its first hotels under the Westin and The Luxury Collection brands, Starwood has announced.

Starwood and Saraya Aqaba Real Estate Development signed agreements to operate the Westin Aqaba Jordan and the Al Manara Hotel using The Luxury Collection brand.

Starwood president Roeland Vos said the brands would be making their debut in the country.

"The Westin focus on renewal, personal and instinctive services, will set a new level of experience through its signature products, style and design, while the unparalleled attention to guest needs and preferences and the exceptional and distinctive Luxury Collection properties will provide guests with the most enriching hotel experiences," he said.

The Westin will include 300 rooms, including 23 suites, four restaurants, a health and fitness club, day spa, two swimming pools and a private beach.

The Al-Manara Hotel will have 200 rooms, three restaurants, specialty shops, swimming pools and private beaches overlooking the Gulf of Aqaba and Saraya lagoon.
