Housing deal for John Laing

John Laing Partnership has clinched a US $30.9 million (£15.6 million) to build 83 homes in South Norwood, Croydon for AmicusHorizon.

Work will cover construction of 43 private sale homes, 30 social rent and 10 homes for shared ownership.

The 40 affordable homes meet the local authority's housing needs requirement. The development has been funded by a Housing Corporation grant to provide more affordable housing.

Completion of the project is due in November 2008.
