Abraaj buys Egyptian Fertilisers for $1.4bn

Abraaj Capital of the United Arab Emirates has bought 100% of Egyptian Fertilisers Company for $1.4 billion, an official of the Egyptian company said on Thursday.
The official, who asked not to be named, said Abraaj Capital had bought the fertiliser company from Citadel Capital, a Cairo-based investment company.
Arif Naqvi, Abraaj's chief executive officer, could not immediately be reached. Citadel officials were not available to comment.
