by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Thursday, 31 August 2006

The new thalassotherapy spa at the Sheraton Sharm Hotel, Resort and Villas, over looking the Red Sea on the shores of the southern tip of Sinai, is located on 1600m² of land at the hotel’s main entrance.

The state-of-the-art centre includes an indoor self-hydro massage pool and an aqua-gym pool, 14 facial, massage and marine treatment cabins, and several medical supervision clinics.

The facility also has a fully equipped gym, two saunas and a beauty salon.

The spa uses only natural products in its treatments and seawater s the basis of all thalassotherapy treatments, having been known to have medicinal properties for many centuries.

The seawater is heated to a temperature of between 34 and 38°C, creating a thermal effect and stimulating blood flow and lymphatic circulation to drain toxins from the body.

Other water-based treatments on the spa’s menu include a seaweed bath, seaweed application, hydro massage, and a jet shower. The spa also offers complete packages of treatments specially designed to help with stress management, sliming, anti-cellulite, beauty and wellness, and anteand post-natal care.

The thalassotherapy treatments can also be combined with a variety of other massages, therapies and beauty treatments to give guests an all-round feeling of well-being.
