Hill & Knowlton Middle East has been hired by global telephony operator MTC Group as part of a wide-ranging PR and communications push.
The agency will work on corporate positioning, investor relations, training and internal communications across the GCC and Africa.
The account will be led from Dubai by H&K's regional director, Andrew Bone, supported by teams from across the agency's Middle East and Africa network.
Mijbil Al-Ayoub, corporate communications and relations manager at MTC, said: "In the three years since embarking on our expansion strategy, the MTC Group has developed from a local provider to become the world's fifth largest mobile operator, serving 25 million customers in 20 countries throughout the Middle East and Africa.
"Our strategy for the next three years is to expand internationally into a major global brand and we need the communications infrastructure to support that goal.
"Hill & Knowlton has demonstrated the depth and breadth of experience to be our preferred strategic communications partner, both regionally and across the globe," he added.
MTC operates in Kuwait and Bahrain as MTC-Vodafone, in Jordan as Fastlink, in Iraq as MTC-Atheer and in Lebanon as MTC-Touch.
