Xerox Middle East & Africa announced its most affordable desktop colour laser printer yet, which has been designed specifically to replace business ink-jet printers.

Starting at just US $320, the Xerox Phaser 6110 touts print speeds of up to four pages per minute in color and 16ppm in black and white, at a print resolution of 2400 x 600dpi. With several advanced features such as booklet printing, poster creation and manual-duplex printing, Xerox claims its svelte new offering also provides flexibility for businesses to create everything from sales proposals and presentations to promotional brochures.

“Small businesses want to add color to their documents, but they’re frustrated with slow ink-jet devices and costly supplies,” said Dan Smith, office products manager at Xerox Middle East & Africa. “Now they have a choice when it comes to printing high-quality documents, at a price they can afford.”

The Phaser 6110 is available in two models: a direct-connect printer or a network-ready printer. Both configurations use fan-free designs to make them as quiet as possible.
