Aman Merchant's Leading Concepts is bringing two of the world's top negotiation experts to its forthcoming executive education programme, 'Advanced Negotiation and Deal-Making Strategies.'
Two of the world's top negotiation experts will be lecturers at a forthcoming executive education programme entitled ‘Advanced Negotiation and Deal-Making Strategies.’ Programme organiser, Leading Concepts, has secured the services of Margaret A.
Neale, Professor of organisations and dispute resolution, Stanford Business School; and Thomas Lys, professor of real estate management, accounting & information at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
“Both these distinguished professors have lectured to major blue chips around the world, are renowned for their research abilities and have authored numerous articles in their specialist fields,” says Aman Merchant, chief executive, Leading Concepts.
"Their presence in Dubai provides a rare opportunity for executives to access senior education levels for which they would otherwise have to travel overseas."
The programme will be held at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah on February 12-14 and will focus on negotiation strategies in the digital age, group negotiations, tactics for exercising interpersonal influence and change, as well as cultural differences in negotiation. According to Merchant, the type of 'reskilling' that such programmes provide is vital in today's rapidly changing 'New Economy.'
“In today’s complex business environment, senior managers need negotiation skills to be successful,” he says. “They need to develop a toolkit of negotiation strategies and understand how they are affected by the environment in which they operate.
Leading Concepts aims to bring executive education programmes run according to global standards to the region. It has gone some way towards achieving this by signing agreements to represent The Stanford Graduate School of Business, University of Michigan Business School and Columbia Business School in the Middle East.
