JBR tenants register for cooling

District cooling provider Empower has asked tenants at the Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) to begin registering to use its services.

Through a process currently underway at the Jumeirah Beach Residence sales centre, each district cooling service registered tenant at JBR will be billed separately, just as with any other utility.

Samer Khoudeir, Empower director of sales and marketing, said, "For the first time, tenants of JBR will enjoy cost benefits from substantially lower electricity usage and reduced maintenance."

Empower is providing some 60,000 tons of refrigeration (TR) of cooling capacity to JBR.
