Imation reveals channel delight

by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer on Thursday, 30 November 2006

Removable storage solutions vendor Imation has hailed its quarterly partner meetings as a key part of its strategy after more than 35 resellers turned up for its latest event in Dubai.

The company, which cohosted the event with regional authorised distribution partners Delta and Despec, claims it provided an ideal opportunity to address the issues that the second-tier channel is facing.

“These quarterly meetings allow us to network with our channel partners, and get feedback on their individual markets and needs so that we can help them to grow their business,” said Riaz Abdullah, sales and marketing manager at Imation Middle East and English-speaking East Africa.

Imation, which has a Middle East office in Jebel Ali, used the gathering to update partners on the latest products and distribute performance related rebates to resellers based on its current channel programme.

“We want to ensure that our loyal partners are recognised,” said Abdulla.
