The Chedi Muscat is expected to be back in business by September 1, following extensive repairs.
The property was evacuated when Cyclone Gonu struck the Muscat coast on June 6, and a mudslide channelled through a nearby wadi flooding the entire ground floor of the beachfront property.
The Chedi's director of sales and marketing, Lore Koenig, said that the rest of the property was largely unaffected.
All cancellations for stays during the month of August will be cancelled free of charge.
"We are expecting all renovations to be completed by the end of August. Until such time all future arrivals have been contacted accordingly," Koenig said.
The hotel's reservation system is now fully operational, allowing customers to make enquiries or future bookings, and The Chedi is now accepting bookings for stays from September 1, 2007 onwards.
