Swift Global Logistics is to launch offices in Singapore, Shenzhen and Beijing.
Bringing the Swift network to a total of 39 offices in 18 countries, the move marks the Dubai-based company's focus on the Far East.
"The Far East has become the major trade lane for Africa, with African customers also going there to buy goods. Additionally, China is investing heavily on infrastructure projects in Africa," said Balasubramanian Rajagopalan, managing director, Swift Global Logistics.
The new offices will offer sea freight, air cargo and 3PL services operated by respective branch managers, sales and operation staff.
This includes Swift's SAM (Sea Air Model) service that combines sea-air transportation from the Far East and Indian subcontinent to Africa via Dubai.
The Singapore office is due to begin operations at the start of next month.
