Imation enlists channel services support

Data storage media products vendor Imation Middle East has penned a deal with specialist channel management services provider Mobility.
The agreement has been put in place to maximise the vendor's market coverage in the UAE, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.
"We are pleased to announce this partnership and are confident that this relationship will further strengthen our position within the retail and reseller environments," said Riyaz Abdulla, regional sales and marketing manager at Imation Middle East. "This is a further endorsement to our ongoing commitment to our channel partners and the regional business," he added.
Zia Afzal, director at Mobility believes Imation's success in the region until now has been attributable to its understanding and commitment to its channel, and is hoping that Mobility can help take this engagement up a notch following the signing of this agreement. "At Mobility we aim to squeeze every last drop of opportunity from the channel so that everyone in the value chain benefits as we raise the bar higher," he said.
Mobility assists global consumer electronics brands maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of their brand's message in the region's shop floors. It claims to focus on enhancing vendors' product availability, fulfilment, brand visibility and product awareness.
