by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Wednesday, 01 August 2007
Postal partnership: Aramex to deliver for Oman Post.

Aramex has signed an agreement to handle the express deliveries for Oman Post in the Middle East, North Africa, Indian subcontinent and Europe.

"We are confident that Aramex will enhance the services of Oman Post through its industrial understanding of our express delivery system," said Michael Hudson, general manager of Oman Post.

"In our search for a suitable partner, we requested a service provider that would offer an organised, cost efficient and industrially sound solution. It is these qualities that set Aramex apart from the competition," he added.

Aramex has already started deliveries on behalf of the Omani government and hopes to expand operations further within the country during the next few years.

"Aramex is delighted to work with Oman Post through this highly esteemed appointment," said Salim Khoury, Aramex Oman's country manager.

"The aim of the partnership is to combine the fruits of Oman's Post existing client base with Aramex's industry know-how and geographic reach to create an innovative solution for Oman's deliveries," he added.
