UPS has opened its latest express centre in Saudi Arabia to accommodate growing demand for express deliveries in the country.
The facility, which is located in Hail, will service the central province in Saudi Arabia, together with the UPS express centres in Riyadh, Al Faisaliah and Buraidah. The courier company also operates seven express centres in the western province and five centres in the eastern province.
"The opening of this centre is part of our ongoing commitment to extend the UPS network, moving closer to our customers. Now, with the launch of the UPS express centre in Hail, our customers can benefit from our global service standards locally," said Jim O'Gara, country manager for UPS in Saudi Arabia.
UPS is offering customers a range of delivery options from the new express centre, including both domestic and international shipments, together with value-added services such as packaging and labelling.
"The strategic location of Hail makes it a perfect location for the centre. Its only an hour's flight away from 11 Arab capitals," said O'Gara.
"Moreover, the construction of the new Hail Economic City is boosting investments in the region. As the city is heading towards a bright economic future, shipping needs in the region are expected to grow quickly with the rise in residents and businesses," he added.
