Arla Foods sells muesli division

by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Wednesday, 08 August 2007

Danish food producer Arla Foods has sold Crispy Food, a company that produces muesli products to the dairy industry, to Koff, the holding company for Kohberg Bread, for an undisclosed sum.

Currently market leader within so-called top-cups and muesli for the dairy industry, Crispy Food is based in Gørlev, Denmark. The company has an annual turnover of about DKK 65 million (US$11.9 million). The company employs 56 people.

"Crispy Food is being sold because we want to focus more on our core business," said Povl Krogsgaard, vice CEO, at Arla Foods. "We're delighted to sell to Koff, and we are confident that they will carry on the future development of the business," Krogsgaard added.
