The budget hotel concept is about to take off in Saudi Arabia.
Marriott has revealed plans to almost double its room inventory in the Kingdom, opening Courtyard by Marriott properties in Jeddah and Riyadh and a Marriott Executive Apartments in Jeddah by the end of 2009.
Meanwhile Saudi Arabia-based hospitality and tourism investment company Rahala has secured the rights to the Express by Holiday Inn brand in the Kingdom and plans to invest around US $200 million in at least five such hotels.
