Wanasah TV, a new music channel owned by Bahrain-based Saudi singer, Rashed Al-Majed, went on air last month in Dubai. The channel, which was launched with a live broadcast concert featuring Arab music superstars from across the region, is being managed by the MBC Group and targets young, educated Arabs, especially from Saudi Arabia.
The Arabic channel broadcasts music videos and other variety entertainment. "The music clips will be skewed towards the Gulf but will include an Egyptian/Levant mix," Rashed Al Majid told Digital Studio.
MBC will operate and manage the channel on behalf of the singer. The broadcaster's studios and production support will be extended to develop shows for Wanasah TV.
