by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Sunday, 19 August 2007

The first surgery robot has been produced by Iranian experts in Tehran's Scientific Research and Medical Technology Centre.

The robot, designed and assembled by a number of biomechanics experts, was created with the aim of helping surgeons carry out laparoscopic surgeries.

The robot will assist in reducing the pressure surgeons are subjected to during the operation and thereby making mistakes less probable.
