APM Terminals has started a scholarship programme for Bahrainis to undergo logistics training in the United Kingdom.
The company, which operates Bahrain's commercial ports, will select three students every year to enroll at the University of Hull's Logistics Institute for a three-year programme. The tuition fees will be covered as part of the scholarship, together with a return flight once a year.
"We are inviting both male and female Bahraini graduates from secondary school, high school or international baccalaureate to apply for the BSc scholarship in logistics from the UK, which has been specifically developed in collaboration with Archomai Learning and the University of Hull's Logistics Institute," said Jorgen Madsen, managing director, APM Terminals Bahrain.
APM Terminals is currently accepting applications from Bahrainis who fulfil a predetermined list of criteria, including a minimum 87% in GSEC, grade point average (GPA) 3.0 in high school and 3bs in A Level.
In addition, the successful applicants will be required to work with APM Terminals Bahrain for a minimum three years after competing their studies.
