Royal Jordanian increases horse power.

Royal Jordanian Cargo has introduced a range of stalls to allow for the transportation of horses onboard its freighter aircraft.

The specially designed boxes are compliant with International Air Transport Association (IATA) guidelines for horse forwarding and will be implemented across the airline's cargo network.

"The introduction of the new stalls will allow Royal Jordanian to provide customers with state of the art transport services, taking into careful consideration safety of the horses and attendants as well as the aircraft," said Ingo Roessler, vice president cargo, Royal Jordanian.

The first two stalls purchased by the airline can accommodate three large horses at one time. Plans to purchase additional stalls in the near future are already in place, according to the airline, which predicts a strong demand for the service across the Middle East region.
