NoorSat to go regional

Bahrain-based single private Arab satellite operator, NoorSat, is now looking to join Arabsat and Nilesat to become a regional satellite operator.
The news comes amid ongoing efforts to integrate Arab media and telecom sectors in co-operation and support of the Arab League.
The initiative of the Arab League to discourage foreign satellite operators in a bid to boost Arab satellite operators will probably push the efforts of NoorSat to win the bid. However, there is no further news about NoorSat's coverage capacity and how many Arab countries will benefit from the venture.
