Laser & Electronics Middle East ‘plots’ dominance

by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Saturday, 08 September 2007

Laser & Electronics Middle East (LEME) is showing off its range of products from its newest client, Munich-based WDV, at GITEX Business Solutions in an effort to boost its market presence and rack up additional business.

The firm is running live demonstrations of its plotting machines (used to draw images or diagrams on paper using ink pens or pencils) and is also showcasing printers, scanners and software solutions for the engineering and architectural industries.

"We invite everyone to bring their files to see how fast our machines plot their designs," said Sanuj Kohli, sales and technical director, Laser & Electronics Middle East.

Regional clients for LEME include Dubai Silicone Oasis, UAE University, The Government of Dubai and Hilton hotel group. The firm is returning to GITEX Business Solutions after generating more than 200 sales leads with the launch of LPKF Laser & Electronics AG at last year's show, and is aiming to attract a greater number of delegates from target verticals.

"We hope to reach all of the consultants, architects, engineers and electromechanical companies in the local region who are looking for a cost-reliable machine, which is fast and efficient and is supported by strong after-sales service," explains Kohli. "We aim to be more competitive than our competitors on price, quality (from German-engineered products), support and, of course, our complete solutions."

Last year's launch of LKPF Laser & Electronics AG, at the show, saw the company demonstrating chemical-free prototype systems for printed circuit boards used by educational institutions, governmental institutions and research firms.

According to Kohli, the company stands apart from its rivals with turnkey solutions which have been pivotal in the service, education and research and development sectors, particularly prototyping of electronic circuit boards. He credits the success to the assistance of its principal company, LPKF.
