Forty two Egyptian IT exhibitors are in attendance at this year's show, headed by the country's Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).
The ITIDA's aim is to promote the country's emerging IT industry. With support from the government, ITIDA seeks to expand the skills of Egyptian firms, with plans to bolster exports.
The agency also runs programs to encourage greater IT industry and university collaboration.
Ahmed Reda, ITIDA's media and communications manager says, "Egyptian firms have participated at the show for the past 15 years and ITIDA has been to the prestigious IT trade show since 2005."
ITIDA will be accompanied by its affiliate, the Software Engineering Competence Centre (SECC), claimed to be the first regional centre to promote excellence in software practices in Egypt. (Stand F2-40, Hall 2)
