Intelligent enterprise

by Daniel Stanton on Sunday, 09 September 2007

More regional companies are adopting business intelligence solutions they can monitor on their mobile devices, according to Derek Morrison, regional general manager, Cognos Middle East.

"The growth in the BlackBerry in the region is huge," says Morrison. "Now you can get business intelligence delivered to your BlackBerry."

Using GoMobile from Cognos, users can monitor the performance of their organizations even when they are on the move or out of the country.

Morrison says that Cognos' growing client base is also loyal. "You do get churn, but you tend to find that the investment a client makes is not only financial, but strategic as well," "There is always room for growth - many of the larger organizations in the region have stabilized their ERPs (enterprise resource planning systems), but they are content stores. They are information-rich, but it's our job to create better information management."
