Rugged looks good for industrial enterprises

LXE has appeared at GITEX Technology Week for the last five years of the show. The UAE-based company sells wireless data communications and handheld computers for rugged industrial environments.
David Renaud, support engineer, says their products are designed for any environment in which a computer has to be able to resist humidity, precipitation and hard use.
The company offers products like the HX2 - "the ultimate hands-free picking solution". The HX2 is a small lightweight data collection computer designed to be worn on an operator's arm or waist, so both hands are free. The operator can then effectively and efficiently perform warehouse inventory moves.
LXE's market is the Middle East and Africa so GITEX is an event they return to year after year.
"It's important to have a presence here because our competitors are here and it's a major exhibition in the region," Renaud says.
