Qatar's stock exchange will showcase 10 companies to investors in London in November to attract more foreign capital, a Doha Securities Market official said on Monday.
Ten companies including Qatar National Bank, Commercial Bank of Qatar, Industries Qatar, Qatar Islamic Bank and Qatar Telecommunications Co will make presentations at the London Stock Exchange on Nov. 2, an executive at one of the companies said.
The stock market official could not confirm the names of the companies.
Gulf Arab bourses are easing restrictions on foreigners owning their stocks to try to attract more institutional investment after a regional stock market crash last year.
The Doha index was one of four regional benchmarks that fell more than 35 percent last year.
Stock markets in the United Arab Emirates made similar presentations to investors in London this year. Dubai's stock exchange, the larger of the two UAE markets, is planning a roadshow in New York from Nov. 13 following one by the bourse in Abu Dhabi.
