Dubai Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) has awarded Norway’s Park Air Systems a contract to install three air traffic control systems at Dubai World Central.
Park Air Systems said on Sunday it would provide advanced ground aircraft and vehicle tracking systems, aircraft landing systems and ground to air voice communication systems.
The company did not reveal the financial details of the contract.
“We are delighted that after a competitive selection process, Park Air Systems was selected on the basis of offering the best, both in terms of value and technology,” Alan Bourjeily, General Manager of the Aviation Division of Park Air’s UAE partner Data Processing Systems (DPS), said in a statement.
World Central Airport is currently under construction at Jebel Ali in Dubai, which upon completion will handle 120 million passengers a year, using six parallel runways.
