Omantel to acquire Worldcall

Omantel has announced that its company board has approved its acquisition of a majority share in Pakistan-based telecom company Worldcall.
Further details of the deal, which was announced on the Muscat stock exchange, were not disclosed.
Finalisation of the deal is subject to the approval of Worldcall shareholders and Pakistani regulatory authorities, the company said.
Worldcall offers a range of services in Pakistan including local loop, international calls and internet.
