NTP Launches Penta 725 SERIES

NTP has launched the Penta 725 series, a new range of compact digital audio signal processors. First in this family is the Penta 725-100, a stand-alone router with 64 AES/EBU stereo and dual Multi-channel Audio Digital Interface (MADI) inputs/outputs.

"The Penta 725-100 is designed for use in modern broadcast studio, post-production and outside broadcast environments," said NTP managing director, Ole Malmbak. "It is a reliable system housed in a compact 1 RU chassis. The chassis can be controlled locally or remotely and includes front-panel navigation keys plus a compact display for local configuration and system setup. An integral web server enables remote TCP/IP-based configuration and control via RJ45 Ethernet."

The Penta 725-100 router conforms to AES3 protocol via rear-panel D connectors and to the AES10 Serial MADI, via optical fiber. Any standard sampling rate from 44.1 up to 192 kHz can be selected, synchronized to an internal generator or to external AES/EBU reference. Dual 85-250 V AC redundant power supplies are incorporated.

Modules in the Penta 725 series can also be used to expand NTP's 625-series systems.
