ETA and Cegelec set up a 50:50 alliance

Dubai based ETA Star Group's mechanical & electrical division and France based Cegelec transport division, has collaborated to form a 50:50 cooperation venture in the UAE.

The new cooperation will service various light rail, metros and tramway projects and will offer turnkey solutions in the field of high voltage infrastructure business in the Gulf.

"We are glad to be associated with Cegelec as a strategic partner in the UAE," said Hameed Salahuddin, director, ETA Star Group.

"We both are well established in home grown markets and share common business values, therefore we are certain that this alliance will benefit our customers in the gulf and other functioning regions, with our collective experience in business and trade." He added.

Prime Technologies LLC (a branch of ETA Star Group) and Cegelec will conduct this exclusive cooperation from Dubai and will operate in UAE, Qatar and India. Since this is a totally new line, the estimated turnover for the next 2-3 years is expected to be approximately US $100 million (AED367 million).
