Cargolux has selected the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia as stopovers for its latest route between Luxembourg and Vietnam.
"Cargolux expects to carry mainly general cargo, consumer goods and spare parts to the new destination, contributing to the growth of local industries," said Robert Van de Weg, senior vice president of sales and marketing, Cargolux.
"From Vietnam, Cargolux will mainly fly garments, footwear, handicraft and electronics to Europe, with additional seafood products, fruit and vegetables for Asian destinations," he added.
The service, which commenced operations last month, is being serviced twice a week. The first flight departments from Luxembourg every Monday, stopping over in Dubai and arriving in Ho Chi Ming City on Tuesday afternoons. The return flight travels via Bangkok, arriving in Luxembourg on Wednesday mornings.
The second flight departs from Luxembourg on Friday evenings, stopping over in Damman before arriving in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday afternoons. The return flight arrives in Luxembourg on Sunday morning, travelling via Hong Kong and Sharjah.
"Both flights offer connections to Cargolux's worldwide network, as well as its extensive European trucking network," said Van de Weg.
