The centre will sponsor the CNBC show for the next three years.

Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has struck a multi-million dollar three-year deal with CNBC to sponsor the broadcaster's new monthly magazine show 'Gateway to the Middle East'.

The show debuted last week and focuses on promoting the region's business opportunities and trends as well as showcasing the executive lifestyle available.

"Research in Europe tells us, that 13% of our viewers have investments in the Middle East. CNBC will follow the money and tell the business world about the opportunities here in an unbiased way," said Dan McClean, CNBC's commercial director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

"With this agreement DIFC will be able to reach the channel's influential and affluent viewers - CEOs, senior business leaders, finance professionals and active private investors."

The half hour programme will be anchored by Middle East journalist Dyala Sabbagh with additional experience provided by CNBC Europe's Louisa Bojesen, CNBC Arabia's Nadina Hawa and Eithne Treanor who has over 20 years experience across several international networks.

Last month CNN launched a weekly show dedicated to the region's business world, CNN Marketplace Middle East.
