Bollywood brings Dubai to standstill

Traffic on Dubai’s Shaikh Zayed Road crawled to a standstill yesterday as cars slowed down to watch the filming of a Bollywood movie.
The movie, ‘Desh Dhrohi’ (Nation’s enemy) stars Punjabi actress Gracy Singh and actor and producer Kamal Rashid Khan, who is based in Dubai, Gulf News reported. Directed by Jagdish Sharma with a budget of 500 million rupees ($12.7mn), it is scheduled for release in March, the newspaper said.
According to Gulf News, shooting will take place over eight days in well-known tourist locations in the UAE including Hatta, Umm Al Quwain, Creek Park and Jumeirah open beach.
