Emaar Properties has unveiled a collection of luxury apartments in Burj Dubai, designed by Italian fashion giant Giorgio Armani.
The 144 apartments, representing the first residential designs from Armani, are located on levels nine to 16 of the world’s tallest building, and complement the Armani Hotel Dubai, also situated within the tower.
According to Emaar investor response has been strong following road shows in major cities including London, Moscow, Milan, New Delhi and Riyhadh.
Chairman Mohamed Ali Alabbar said "The enthusiastic response to Armani Residences from around the world is a confirmation of Dubai's growing stature as a destination of choice for discerning home-buyers. In addition to the economic and cultural attractions offered by Dubai, Armani Residences offer several added dimensions of exclusivity for residents."
Armani said each residence had been given a personal touch to convey a sense of privacy and intimacy through the use of colours, fabrics, shapes and materials. "My objective has been to create personalised living environments, where the emphasis is placed on comfort, simplicity and elegance” he said.
The designer was personally involved in every design detail of the one and two-bedroom residences which are decorated with an exclusive range of Armani/ Casa home furnishings. Defined by clean lines, practicality and elegance, the apartments feature materials and finishes including stone, zebrawood, Venetian plaster and fabric and leather wall coverings.
The Armani Hotel Dubai will have 160 rooms and offer concierge, 24-hour room service with facilities including a library, gymnasium and pool. Guests will also be able to avail themselves of lifestyle amenities within Burj Dubai including 15,000 square feet of fitness facilities, four swimming pools a spar and cigar club.
Armani and Emaar plan to develop seven luxury hotels and three resorts over the next ten years. Further Armani homes are planned for cities including New York, Paris and Tokyo.
