Meanwhile, I spent three busy days at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, reporting on the Cityscape mega expo last month.

There was a real buzz about the event, with most stalls pulling out all the stops to showcase their projects.

Omniyat Properties seemed to capture the imagination of the crowd, with a (slightly unnerving) singing, walking robot while the Nakheel stall was constantly teeming with interested attendees viewing the model of the Palm projects and The World.

My personal Cityscape highlight was an interview with Falconcity of Wonders creator and developer Salem Al Moosa.

Our talk was frequently halted by his many friends congratulating him on his project, and I was intrigued by his refreshing outlook and vision for Dubai's future.
