National Bank of Dubai (NBD) has upgraded to a new ATM testing solution to help improve the reliability and stability of its network of teller machines, the lender said on Tuesday.
NBD said it has installed BRIDGE:test from Level Four to support its multi-vendor ATM software application.
The solution should help the bank minimise ATM downtime and enable it to introduce new ATM content based on Microsoft's Windows computer operating system and advanced functionality across its network.
NBD previously used Level Four's ATM Developer solution, but the new software will enable a faster testing cycle and the ability to deploy a single application across its ATMs, the bank said.
"The upgrade to BRIDGE:test comes in line with our multi-vendor ATM network strategy. We expect to benefit from cost savings and productivity gains throughout our network while ensuring the highest possible level of customer service at our ATM terminals," Sue Evans, Chief Information Officer (CIO) at NBD, said in a statement.
NBD announced in October last year it had selected Level Four's Bunch Note Acceptance (BNA) and Cheque Processing Modules (CPM) to improve self-service facilities at its ATMs.
The bank has been using Level Four's ATM testing and development solutions since 2005.
