Etisalat launch new FM company
by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer on Thursday, 01 November 2007
Etisalat has launched a new facilities management (FM) company called e-Facility Management, provisionally aimed at the UAE region.
Speaking at last month's Cityscape exhibition, Ali Hassan Harmoodi, manager of electrical and mechanical, design and consultancy, e-Facility Management, said: "It's not officially launched, but we have our licence. Cityscape is the first time we have presented ourselves to the marketplace."
Last year, Etisalat formed an internal FM company for in-house service operations.
Although the new FM company will continue to service Etisalat, it is now a separate entity trading under its own identity.
"Our department is separated from Etisalat itself. All our support sections have been separated by Etisalat and established as a new FM company," he added.
e-Facility Management will offer a range of services but focus on hard service provision. A separate division will deliver soft services.
The company will also be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with smart solution provider, UTT.
"We are in the process of signing the MoU to support the building management system (BMS)," Harmoodi added.
Services e-facility management cannot offer personally will be sub-contracted out and handled by the company's contract managers.
