Additional security upgrade for DIP

Dubai Investment Park (DIP ) has recently announced the upgrade of new facilities and technologies to enhance the safety and comfort of its residents and tenants.
As part of the Park's US $545,000 (AED 2m) security outlay, more cameras have been fitted.
"We installed 45 CCTV cameras over phase one, two and three and 20 moving PTC cameras," said Omar Al Mesmar, general manager, Dubai Investments Park.
The installation of the CCTV system contract was awarded to Group Seven.
"We are going to enhance the security cameras from 45 to 80 in 2008 and we are planning to increase the number of security to 30 people and," he added.
A 24-hour hotline for DIP will handle all security concerns.
In addition, DIP said the facilities management department would have a direct involvement with the security.
"Our FM is coordinating between the security, the maintenance and the cleaning. They will keep everything in place and liaise with Dubai Police and the Civil Defence on a weekly basis," Al Mesmar said.
Other new facilities and technologies include: a permanently based fire engine and ambulance, speed humps and wireless communication systems.
