by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Thursday, 01 November 2007

Dubai Executive Council's Health Insurance Committee (HIC) has formed a strategic Think Tank to advise it on new funding models for Dubai's healthcare system. The panel will comprise five renowned experts with global, regional and local expertise in health and health finance

The Think Tank's members will attend a number of induction seminars and meetings in Dubai to familiarise themselves with the current healthcare system. They will provide advice and guidance on how to build an effective funding model that promotes high standards of service and care.

"The Think Tank is about combining international expertise with specialist local knowledge," said Ahmed bin Byat, secretary general of the Dubai Executive Council.
